2014 Giving Opportunities
Scholarship Fund – Gifts provide scholarships for student-athletes participating in Fresno State’s 17 sports. Scholarship gifts provide donors priority for football and men’s basketball seating and parking.
First Team – Donors sponsor the annual scholarship cost for a starting position on a Bulldog team. First Team recognition begins at the $17,000 giving level. First Team Scholarship gifts count towards the donation requirements for priority seating and parking.
Endowment Fund - The Bulldog Foundation Endowment Fund makes an annual distribution from the fund balance for scholarships. Gifts, including memorial donations, can be made to this fund.
Sport Specific Gifts
Fund for Excellence – Donors can contribute to their choice of Fresno State's 17 Sports. Sport specific donations go towards projects jointly approved by Fresno State's Athletic Administration and the Head Coach of the sport being supported. Donors can make multi-year pledges or a one-time gift.
Donors can provide a great boost to their sport of choice by becoming a “Five for Five” donor. This giving level requires a $25,000 minimum commitment paid in equal installments over a five year period. Special recognition is provided for “Five for Five” donors, as well as Green V Society benefits. Contributors receive priority points for their donation but gifts do not count towards donation requirements for priority seating or parking.
Sport Clubs - These clubs are under the umbrella of the Bulldog Foundation and have a fan base dedicated to increasing the enthusiasm for Fresno State teams and enhancing the student-athlete intercollegiate experience. Membership fees at $35/senior, $50/individual, $100/family, and $200/corporate support approved fan activities. Though sport clubs are not primarily fundraising driven, they may provide resources for designated projects approved by the athletics department.
Thoughtful estate planning can help create a meaningful legacy that champions Bulldog Student-Athletes, while providing future income, reducing or eliminating taxes and enjoying other special benefits. This strategy of giving can include gifts from retirement plans, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, and wills. Donors may designate any Bulldog Foundation Fund for their planned gift.
Donors may contribute to various Capital Projects to renovate or construct new athletics facilities. Gifts may provide naming opportunities and other benefits. Contributors receive priority points for their donation but gifts do not count towards donation requirements for priority seating or parking.
