Fresno State is proud to announce the renovation of historic Warmerdam Field! The University will be teaming with industry leader Beynon Sports to install a brand new, state-of-the-art, all-weather track surface that is environmentally sound, and conceived with both performance and student-athlete safety in mind. Beynon’s IAAF Certified systems are currently in use at more than 110 NCAA Division I institutions, and student-athletes training on Beynon surfaces produced 60% of the top marks in the nation during the 2012 season. The infield will also be updated, featuring both new and refurbished runways and pits for a comprehensive track & field facility that the entire Valley can be proud of. These enhancements represent a significant investment in the Bulldog Track & Field program as we work to restore its proud tradition. This outstanding project will not only benefit Fresno State’s current student-athletes, but also the University and local running community on the whole.
Veterans Memorial Stadium, one of the nation’s top outdoor venues and host site of the 2016 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships, will continue to serve as the Bulldogs’ home competition site. Now, with the scheduled improvements to Warmerdam Field, Fresno State will have a significant competitive and recruiting edge with access to two outstanding facilities for training and competition.
